Spotify Hits 3MM Paid Subscribers

Spotify, the European steaming music service that hit American shores late last year, has hit a major milestone: it can now boast three million paid subscribers.

The service hit 2.5 million paid users in November of last year and gained, as Fast Company pointed out, around eight million subscribers a day to reach the three million mark. The figure also means that 20 percent of Spotify’s total user base is opting to pay for the service without those annoying ads.
